WHAT IT IS: Smith is the flagship artist, along with Trace Adkins, of BBR Music Group’s new Wheelhouse imprint. Granger’s current EP, 4x4, was co-produced by Smith and Frank Rogers (Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner). Lead single “Backroad Song” sold 32k+ downloads in its first week of release and entered the iTunes country singles chart at #2 and iTunes’ Canada country chart at #1. He’s amassed a rabid social-media following, and his sold-out 84-date YEE YEE NATION tour broke attendance and merch-sales records at nearly every venue. Smith’s country boy alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. has its own following, garnering him a weekly segment, “Dip ’Em and Pick ’Em,” on CBS Sports’ Inside College Football.
