THE B-SIDE
CHART CHAT
8/24/15

HITS' own Jesse Beer (CliprKid) and Naomi Robin (RockinRobin) jump on the web to discuss the newest adds on the radio charts this week, and you've got an inside look at their chat. Find out what's hot on their radar.

CliprKid: I’M BACK!

RockinRobin: Finally!! Mazel tov on the new baby!

CliprKid: It feels good to be back, we have a lot to catch up on

RockinRobin: Have you heard Chris Cornell’s AMAZING new single “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” that debuted on Active Rock? I'm in love with the pizzicato strings and harpsichord parts - not to mention his legendary voice. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this reach the top of AAA, Active Rock, and Alternative #HolyTrinity

CliprKid: Chris Cornell just has one of those voices where as soon as the song comes on you get chills. I actually really like this song. Makes me wish Temple of the Dog was still around

RockinRobin: What's that?

CliprKid: Oh Naomi, you are so young, or is that I am getting older...

RockinRobin: Both :) I'm really into Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats' “S.O.B.” that debuted on Alternative and Triple A this week

CliprKid: It’s awesome. Wasn’t sure what to think when it first came on, but once the hook kicks in, I can’t help but get up and dance. It’s #86 on Shazam already, let's keep an eye on this one

RockinRobin: For sure.

CliprKid: How about the new Macklemore song featuring Ed Sheeran!! It seems like another monster, already #9 on on Shazam. They just make good music with impactful lyrical content

RockinRobin: Beautiful track & love the Sam Cooke reference. I have a feeling the Shazam stats will rise as it spins on both Rhythmic and Top 40

CliprKid: Another song that we both are big fans of, "Ex’s and Oh’s" by Elle King, just made its way on to Top 40

RockinRobin: So great to see a female rocker on that chart! The single already surpassed 1 million Shazams and is #14 on their chart

CliprKid: POWERHOUSE!

RockinRobin: I have a feeling Rita Ora’s smash, “Body On Me” will crossover to Top 40 too. Just heard it on Rhythmic and it’s sooooo good!

CliprKid: Right? I’m obsessed with that song.. Shazam has it as #15 on the Future Hits chart, but I will go on record and say it is for sure a hit

RockinRobin: Agreed. Great catching up with you! Go home and enjoy your bundle of joy

CliprKid: You mean bundles, we are a party of five now!
