WHAT IT IS: Formed in London, the electro-pop trio consists of bassist Mikey Goldsworthy, keyboard player Emre Turkmen and vocalist Olly Alexander. The band will release their highly anticipated debut full-length on June 22. Their new single, “King,” went to #1 on the U.K. singles chart, while its video has racked up more than 24m views on Vevo. They performed to sold-out crowds on their recent U.S. tour and won BBC’s prestigious Sound of 2015 Poll, an annual list that has accurately predicted chart-topping acts since 2003.
