Coachella
's been over for a whole eight days now. Due to modern society's abundance of hyperactive heatseekers and party-starting attention deficits, you must already be yearning for another for another excuse to venture back to the desert. And boy do I have one for you. Only one day in length, mini-fest Desert Daze provides one orgasmic quickie for indie/alt rock connoisseurs.

The event, produced by local music collective Moon Block, features about 40 acts. Expect the grounds to pulsate with an amalgamation of punk, psychadelic and experimental rock vibes. I've embedded the line-up below and highly suggest that you collect some treasurable memories of personal faves Warpaint, Mini Mansions, Deap Vally, DIIV, White Lung, Fever the Ghost and Mystic Braves.

Ugh... just listing those names is making me salivate. I'm patently heartbroken that I will be unable to attend and was truly planning on it. Unfortunately, news of an unforseen memorial service took precedence. That being said, please go, and feel free to barrage my email account ([email protected]) with photos and videos, so I can pretend like I'm slurring my words with you.

And please stay hydrated, ya animals. I saw way too many limp ragers being carried like infants and rushed to infirmary tents by burly Coachella security guards. Is it really that hard to class up your drug usage? I think not.
