WHAT IT IS: Holly “Låpsley” Fletcher is already being labeled as one of the U.K.’s most exciting new music discoveries. Like the very uninhibited nature of her sound, the understated approach with which she introduced her music came by way of the simplest of discoveries—a handful of people engaged so closely with it that they couldn’t help but pass it on. Cue support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Huw Stephens, and her being snapped up by prestigious XL Recordings. Gaining a plethora of plaudits for her minimal yet striking electronic production and beautiful vocals, like being included in BBC’s renowned Sound of 2015 list, her music gives an intimate insight into the concentrated potential of this talented 18-year-old artist.
