WHAT IT IS: A phenomenon in their homeland of Iceland, KALEO are making a name for themselves stateside with their ambient indie/folk sound and lush introspective single, which has already surpassed 2m streams on Spotify and has earned early support from SiriusXM Spectrum and Spectrum Shortlist. NPR described their sound as “falsetto-fueled balladry meets Icelandic grandiosity.” The four bandmembers are currently in the studio working on new material for an EP with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg).
