Having already set up her SOL record label through Warner Music Latina, Dominican artist-songwriter Tokischa is staying in the family thanks to a new global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
Tokischa emerged in the Dominican music scene in 2018 with "Picala," and has since scored hits such as “Bellaca Putona” with Químico Ultra Mega, “Perra” with J Balvin, “Linda” and “La Combi Versace” with Rosalía and "Delincuente" with Anuel AA and Ñengo Flo.
The artist's new single, "Sol," was released in late May, and she has recently performed at high-profile LGBTQ+ events such as Brooklyn Pride.
“We take a lot of pride in who we pair with and sign," said WCM President of U.S. Latin & Latin America Gustavo Menéndez. "We’re always looking to work with those who are relevant and possess true artistry. Tokischa is the perfect example of that: her music speaks to her completely original creative side and integrity, and the best is yet to come.”
Added WCM SVP, A&R for U.S. Latin & Latin America Lazaro Hernandez, "She’s paved her own path on her own terms, and her unapologetic authenticity has created a platform for important conversations about freedom and identity."
