Universal Music Publishing Group’s Universal Production Music has launched Universal Music for Creators, a subscription service offering what it describes as "claim-free, premium music and sound effects for online videos at an all-inclusive price."
The first of its kind from a major music publisher, the product will be available starting at $5.99 per month and features more than 50,000 tracks and 200,000 sound effects, as well as 80 playlists curated by veteran TV/film music directors. The repertoire will be continually refreshed to meet the needs of the modern music creator, allowing them to add music and effects to videos, podcasts, and films without the fear of a copyright strike.
"With a brand heritage that signifies trust, quality and prestige, Universal Music for Creators will provide affordable, hassle-free music and sound effects for the most imaginative creators," proclaims Universal Production Music president Jane Carter. Adds UMPG chairman/CEO Jody Gerson, "Innovative programs like this exemplify why Universal Production Music continues to lead the industry."
