UMPG INKS ABEL PINTOS
9/7/23

UMPG has inked three-time Gardel Award-winning singer-songwriter Abel Pintos to an exclusive, global publishing agreement.

With a career spanning nearly three decades, Pintos—who won Best New Artist and Best Performer at Argentina’s Cosquín Festival—recorded his first album at 13 and has since dropped 14 albums, several of which have been certified multi-platinum and gold.

His recent album, El Amor En Mi Vida, received the Gardel Award for Best Pop Album of the Year (2022), while his latest studio effort, La Familia Festeja Fuerte, was recorded live from the River Plate Stadium and the album tour saw Pintos perform 36 shows in 28 cities and 10 countries.

"I am very happy to be part of the Universal Music Publishing Group family, and to begin working in this new stage together with so many authors and artists that belong to its roster," said Pintos.

“We’re happy to have been able to sign him and are certain that we’ll continue to grow internationally through the work that we will develop together,” added Daniel Retondano, managing director of UMP Argentina, Uruguay & Paraguay.

Pintos—who recently became a judge on the Argentine version of ...Got Talent—just sold out his upcoming show at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, and he’s set to announce a stadium tour throughout Argentina with additional dates in Spain and Latin America.
