KALIII JOINS THE WCM FAM
8/29/23

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has signed a worldwide administration deal with burgeoning rapper Kaliii following the streaming success of her single “Area Codes,” which recently hit #1 on Mediabase’s Rhythmic Airplay chart. The Atlantic artist has amassed more than 350m streams across DSPs and currently boasts roughly 12m monthly listeners on Spotify alone. She also landed a Best New Artist nod at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

“There’s a new generation of talented lyricists making waves in the industry right now, and Kaliii is a clear standout above the rest,” WCM President, North America Ryan Press said. She’s an incredibly talented songwriter who knows what she wants in her career, and the whole Warner Chappell team is grateful to be joining her on this journey.”

WCM Senior Director, Urban A&R Xavier Champagne added, “It's amazing to see the ascension of Kaliii. Her creativity transcends music, serving as a vehicle of self-expression for both herself and her fans. We’re beyond excited to welcome her to the Warner Chappell family.”

Seen in the photo relieved nobody from HITS showed up are (l-r) Champagne, Kaliii, Kaliii’s manager Chanté Knox, Press and Kaliii’s attorney John Rose. Press, meanwhile, is still contemplating adding some extra vowels to his name.
