THE HOOSIERS HEAD DOWNTOWN
8/9/23

British rock outfit The Hoosiers have signed a global music publishing agreement with Downtown Music Publishing (DMP) and a wide-ranging deal with Downtown-owned distributor, FUGA, via its Crab Race Ltd. imprint.

“The Hoosiers have an excellent back catalog of much-loved hits, Downtown Music Publishing Chief Commercial Officer Jedd Katrancha said, “and we’re excited to start the process of revisiting their past releases and bringing them to new audiences while finding new and creative ways to support their upcoming releases.”

Formed in 2003, The Hoosiers found international success with their multi-platinum debut, The Trick to Life. The 2007 project topped the chart in the U.K. and yielded the Top 5 singles “Worried About Ray” and “Goodbye Mr. A” in 2007. The group plans to released their next album, Confidence, next month.

Through the band’s partnership with FUGA, The Hoosiers will benefit from the distributor’s worldwide digital and physical distribution, sync and marketing services, while their publishing administration and creative services deal with Downtown will elevate their expansive catalog and future releases.

“The Hoosiers have an excellent back catalog of much-loved hits,” Katrancha added, “and we’re excited to start the process of revisiting their past releases and bringing them to new audiences while finding new and creative ways to support their upcoming releases.”

The Hoosiers begin a seven-date headlining tour in the U.K. beginning 9/28 and ending at London’s KOKO on 10/5. Ironically, that's about as long as our benders last.
