SONGHAY TAYLOR'S HANDS

Songhay Taylor has joined Primary Wave as estate marketing manager for the James Brown and Prince estates.

Taylor, who reports to Chief Marketing Officer Adam Lowenberg, will play a key role in expanding Primary Wave’s estate marketing initiatives, acting as the primary liaison between Primary Wave and their estate partners. Songhay will also be responsible for spearheading all marketing strategy and execution related to the estates, along with supporting on brand collaborations and developing music-centric media content.

Prior to joining Primary Wave, Songhay held the role of global marketing manager for Universal Music Group’s Urban Catalog division. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of marketing and commercial roles for companies including BMG, EMI and Capitol Music Group.

“We are thrilled to have Songhay join the Primary Wave team,” Lowenberg said. “We look forward to the undeniable passion and marketing expertise that he will bring to our artist estates and growing music catalog.”

In addition to Taylor, Christopher Green has been promoted content development manager, based in New York.

Chief Content Officer Natalia Nastaskin said “Chris has been an essential part of the build of Primary Wave’s content development department. is ability to navigate through our catalog to find compelling stories for stage and screen helps to enhance and expand our creative IP footprint.”
