Warner Chappell Music has inked producer/songwriter/artist RIOTUSA to a global publishing deal. He's seen here before a ceremonial exchange of spices with WCM President, North America Ryan Press.
RIOTUSA, the hitmaking producer behind Ice Spice, produced the rapper’s gold-certified “Munch (Feelin U),” and executive produced her 2023 EP, Like..?, which features gold-certified and current #1 Urban radio hit “In Ha Mood.”
RIOT has also worked with Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj on “Princess Diana (Remix),” which is #11 at Rhythm and Top 20 at Urban, as well as their single “Barbie World” with Aqua for the upcoming Barbie film.
Additionally, RIOT co-wrote Ice Spice and Taylor Swift’s “Karma” remix, which earned Ice Spice the biggest streaming debut for a female rapper in global Spotify history, and contributed to PinkPantheress’ “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2,” f/Ice Spice. He’s also worked with the likes of Sheck Wes, Fivio Foreign and more.
"Warner Chappell showed me respect and made me excited to build,” said NYC native RIOT. “I want to inspire others to chase their dreams, and Warner Chappell will help me achieve those goals."
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of hip-hop's biggest music producers during the early stages of their careers, and I know Riot is well on his way to being one of the best producers of his generation,” added Press.
“Ryan Press understood Riot's goals, vision, and worth, and this next chapter with Ryan and the global Warner Chappell team, as part of our extended family, is only going to amplify Riot's reach and raise his efforts to another level in this competitive space,” said James Rosemond Jr., CEO/founder, Mastermind Artists and manager to both RIOTUSA and Ice Spice.
