JUSTIN TRANTER ON THE ALTERNATIVE RUNWAY
7/25/22

Justin Tranter is having an Alternative moment.

The gifted songwriter, artist and activist, best known as a Pop hitmaker, is currently enjoying big radio love at Modern Rock, as Måneskin's "SUPERMODEL" sits at #1 at the format and Imagine Dragons' "Enemy" is Top 5.

Range-repped Tranter co-wrote "SUPERMODEL" with the Roman rockers of Måneskin and producers Max Martin, Rami Yacoub and Sylvester Sivertsen and co-penned "Enemy" with Imagine Dragons, rapper JID and producers Mattman & Robin.

Meanwhile, JT's work can also be heard on the soundtrack to Billy Porter's directorial debut, Anything's Possible (now streaming on Amazon Prime); Tranter co-exec-produced the ST, which boasts contributions from Porter, Shea Diamond, Em Beihold, DNCE, MIKA, Kim Petras, Ryland James and Tassia Zappia and is also a showcase for the versatile creator's Facet Publishing. The apparently indefatigable tunesmith also contributed four songs to the soundtrack of the Netflix film Purple Hearts, starring Sofia Carson and slated to drop on 7/29.

Justin was also a cover model for HITS' Pride special in 2021, and seems to have weathered the association with our disreputable magazine with typical aplomb.
