Made in Memphis Entertainment (MIME) has inked a publishing and distribution deal with Nashville-based Power Entertainment.
The deals include exclusive rights for MIME Publishing to administer all compositions for the next three years for writers Nick Drake, Joshua Blair and Michael Carr, as well as a Beatroot distribution agreement for artist Yours Truly, Jai, plus a one-project deal for Raemi.
“The MIME team and I share a passion for discovering local artists and taking them global, especially in our own backyard in Memphis,” Power Entertainment CEO Kadeem Phillips, who also manages MIME clients like YC and RealRed. “This mission aligns closely with the essence of MIME, making them a perfect choice to partner with for publishing and distribution.”
“Kadeem has an incredible eye for up-and-coming talent, and I’m confident that our publishing and distribution teams will be an asset in supporting and developing these writers and artists,” added Tony D. Alexander, Co-Founder/President/Managing Director, MIME.
Under the Beatroot deal, “Take It There,” the first single by Yours Truly, Jai, dropped on 6/17, while Raemi’s “Find Me” f/Brian Brown arrived on 7/1.
