A DEAL WRITTEN IN STONE—FOR SONGS WRITTEN BY STONESTREET
4/19/22

Songwriter Skyler Stonestreet, who's worked with the likes of Dua Lipa, The Chainsmokers, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, just sold her catalog to Influence Media Partners. Insiders are calling it a multi-million-dollar deal.

Influence—the group that teamed up with BlackRock and Warner Music Group earlier this year to create "a music rights platform that will invest in and manage premier compositions from some of music's most influential creators"— says that Stonestreet's catalog has earned more than 3.5 billion streams. It's worth noting that one of her most recent projects, Dove Cameron's "Boyfriend," has raked in more than 140 million streams on Spotify since its release in February.

"Skyler's story is remarkable," says Evan Winiker, who reps Stonestreet over at Range Media Partners. "She came to Los Angeles with the dream of being a writer, put in the time doing sessions day in and day out and truly became one of the best in town.”

Many HITS employees also came to Los Angeles with dreams of being writers. They, however, ended up under the influence in a different way.
