NOW WHAT?
We have no fucking idea.
COUNTRY'S NEWEST DISRUPTOR
Three chords and some truth you may not be ready for.
AI IS ALREADY EATING YOUR LUNCH
The kids can tell the difference... for now.
WHO'S BUYING THE DRINKS?
That's what we'd like to know.

Downtown Music Services has promoted four senior executives within its U.S. team.
Bruce Lampcov is promoted to EVP & Executive Producer, Sean McGraw is appointed to the newly created role of SVP, Catalogue Management, Emily Stephenson becomes VP, Business Operations, and Frank Pagano is upped to VP, Global Client Services. All four executives will report to Mike Smith, Global President of Downtown Music Services.
In his expanded role, Lampcov will continue to find business opportunities, secure deals with songwriters, catalogues and estates as well as bring in marketing and distribution opportunities. He’ll also work with the global A&R team to oversee operations in North America.
Lampcov began his career in the ‘80s as a producer and engineer working with Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed and more before he helped launch Kobalt Music as well as build Fintage House’s publishing and neighbouring rights businesses. His signings include Miles Davis, Wu Tang Clan, John Lennon, Rihanna, Bob Marley, Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Springsteen, Marc Ronson and Justin Bieber.
McGraw, who will develop and manage relationships with the company’s legacy catalogues, joined Downtown Music Publishing in 2007 before moving to Songtrust in 2018 as Global Head of Rights Management. With 20+ years of experience, he also holds positions on the Dispute Resolution Committee of the MLC and the IMPF Board of Directors.
Stephenson will provide Downtown Music Services and the Downtown Music Holdings with resources to make business decisions and improvements based on partner and client performance. In 2012, she ran Publishing Operations at Songtrust, onboarding their first enterprise B2B partnership and led Downtown's publishing administration global expansion to 120+ territories. In 2019, she also co-head Downtown’s Global Client Services.
Since joining the company in 2009, Pagano—who has 15+ years of industry experience—held various roles in Rights Management, including managing the Sync Licensing, Copyright and Royalties departments before co-heading the Global Client Services dept.
“Emily, Sean, Frank and Bruce are hugely talented and dedicated people who have always enjoyed a close relationship with our songwriters and their catalogues,” said Smith. “These positions reflect the tremendous contribution they have made to the company in recent years and underline our commitment to providing the best possible service to the songwriting community.”
