MELO-X'S DOWNTOWN PATH

Downtown Music Services has signed multimedia artist and musician MeLo-X to a global publishing admin deal. His production catalog spans releases for Beyonce, Syd, The Carters and Ari Lennox.

MeLo-X, who is based between New York City and Los Angeles, works on projects that range from music remixes, album collaborations, set design, DJ’ing and film scores/composition. He also incorporates visual elements such as creative direction, photography and installations.

"I am always excited to encounter artists who can slam their careers in so many different directions,” said Mike Smith, Global President of Downtown Music Services. “The way he is able to combine his Jamaican roots with his artistic ambition is hugely inspiring."

MeLo-X has also worked with Jesse Boykins III, Jay Z, Maxwell and others. Recent collaborations include Kelly Rowland, Yuna, Chloe Bailey, Kalela and Lila Ike and he has also been involved in creative projects for brands including LVRN, NIKE and CAT Footwear. A new MeLo-X artist project is set to be released soon.
