Warner Music Group catalog guru David Woirhaye is moving to Warner Chappell Music as EVP and Global CFO.
Woirhaye will be focused on providing financial guidance and support to the global business in order to maximize growth. He’ll report into Guy Moot, Co-Chair and CEO, and Carianne Marshall, Co-Chair and COO.
“As we continue to grow our global business and find new opportunities to super-serve our songwriters, his background and deep knowledge of the music industry and catalog management will be a huge asset for us,” Moot and Marshall.
Woirhaye joined Warner Music Group in 2005 and has spent the last five years as SVP/CFO, Rhino Entertainment and Global Catalog Management at WMG. He defended Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” in federal court and supported the catalogs of artists such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Grateful Dead, Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. In his role as CFO at Rhino, he helped steer the company through intense deal negotiations and established a strong financial infrastructure.
