Sony/ATV Music Publishing U.K. has renewed its global publishing deal with singer/songwriter Plested.
Best known for penning songs like Lewis Capaldi’s #1 single “Before You Go,” Little Mix’s #5 U.K. single “Touch,” Kygo’s “Remind Me To Forget” f/Miguel and Kygo X OneRepublic’s “Lose Somebody,” Plested, a.k.a. Phil Plested, has also co-written for artists like James Arthur, Calum Scott, Zayn Malik, Emeli Sandé, Bastille and more.
“Plested is a brilliant songwriter – his music has captured fans across the globe, and this is just the beginning for him. We’re proud to continue this creative partnership and deliver the best opportunities for him and his music,’ said Sony/ATV Chairman/CEO Jon Platt.
David Ventura, Sony/ATV U.K. President & Co-Managing Director, added, “We are all over the moon to be able to continue to create more history with Phil and Hannan.”
“Sony/ATV has watched me grow as a songwriter ever since I left school and stepped foot in the industry, from sitting in a carpark with my guitar, to getting my first songs on radio. I’m so happy to be continuing the relationship and am excited for the next chapter with the new team and culture,” shared Plested.
In addition to his career as a songwriter, Plested released his solo project First & Foremost in 2018 and most recently dropped his single “Beautiful & Brutal" this year.
