UMPG Nashville has inked an exclusive global publishing agreement with singer/songwriter Caitlyn Smith. Set to release her sophomore album Supernova on 3/13 via Monument, Smith has previously penned for artists like Garth Brooks, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flat. She also wrote the 2020 Critics’ Choice award-winning track “Glasgow” for the movie Wild Rose and the 4x Platinum track “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor f/John Legend, which reached #1 at Top 40.
Missy Roberts, UMPG Nashville’s Senior Creative Director says, “I had the opportunity to work with Caitlyn years ago. To be reunited with her is a dream come true. She is an immense and timeless global talent. It’s a privilege to have her join the UMPG family.”
Smith adds, “I’m so excited for my new partnership with Universal Music Publishing. I have known these lovely folks for years and am honored for the opportunity to work with them. Their passion and drive are unmatched and I’m really looking forward to this next chapter.”
