Milk & Honey writer/producers worked on a handful of songs on Selena Gomez’s new album Rare on Interscope, which looks to be headed for #1.
Sir Nolan co-wrote and produced title track "Rare," as well as "Crowded Room (feat. 6LACK)" and "Ring", along with co-writer/producer Simon Says. Simon Says is signed to Deep Cuts Music Publishing, a JV with Warner Chappell co-owned by Nolan and Milk & Honey President Lucas Keller. That same duo of Nolan and Simon Says had a hit with "La La Land " by Bryce Vine last year, and Simon Says co-wrote and produced the Khalid single "Eleven" out now.
Nolan and longtime manager Keller created Deep Cuts together, and are now proudly reaping the benefits, along with Simon Says, and other upcoming writers they are signing and developing. Another Milk & Honey client, lil aaron also contributed to a different Selena Rare song, "People You Know."
Is there any truth to the rumor that writing sessions for Selena's LP took place inside Keller’s new walk-in cigar humidor? Stay tuned.
