Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited and its investment advisor, The Family (Music) Limited, have acquired a music catalog from award-winning American producer Emile Haynie. The acquisition includes 100% of Haynie’s interest in his catalog, which consists of 122 songs.
Haynie’s collaborations include Kid Cudi’s 3x Grammy-nominated album Man on the Moon: The End of Day and Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, which were respectively certified 2x platinum and platinum in the U.S. and Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die, which was the 5th best-selling album of 2012, and single “Summertime Sadness,” which was certified 4x platinum in the U.S. and 2x platinum in the U.K. Haynie has also worked on Bruno Mars’ Grammy Award-winning album Unorthodox Jukebox, which reached #1 in the U.S. and U.K. and is certified 4x platinum in the U.S. and 3x platinum in the U.K.
Other collaborations and catalogue additions include Adele’s U.S. diamond certified album 25, which reached #1 in 32 countries and sold over 25m copies, Eminem’s Grammy award-winning and 3x platinum album Recovery, Fun’s Grammy Award-winning and U.S. 3x platinum album Some Nights, Kanye West f/Pusha T’s "Runaway," Eminem f/Ed Sheeran’s “River,” as well as tracks performed by Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Pink, Drake, Mark Ronson and more.
