Biz veteran David Weitzman has joined Primary Wave, it was announced this morning.
Based out of L.A., he'll work closely with CEO/Founder Larry Mestel and President Justin Shukat.
"I have known David for quite some time. He had been a formidable opponent when at his former company" shared Mestel. "We couldn't be happier to provide David a platform where his vast experience and talents can flourish."
Weitzman, who kicked off his music career in the '90s at labels like Rick Rubin's American, Epitaph and Sublime's Skunk Records, as well as Red Ant. After a run in music supervision (Jackass, Wildboyz, Rob & Big, Run's House), he made his transition into publishing and asset acquisition at ole—where feats included signing Timbaland and leading the major acquisition of Sony Pictures' music pub assets.
We wish him all the celebratory skunk money can buy.
