DIANE WARREN NAMED 2019 CLIO ENTERTAINMENT AWARD RECIPIENT
11/5/19

Diane Warren has just been announced as the 2019 Honorary Clio recipient at this year’s Clio Entertainment Awards ceremony. Hosted by comedian Craig Robinson, the ceremony will take place on 11/21 at L.A.’s Dolby Theatre and will recognize the revolutionary role Warren’s music has played in film.

The Grammy Award-winning songwriter and 10-time Oscar nominee has had her music featured in more than 100 films, including Celine Dion’s #1 hit “Because You Loved Me” from Up Close & Personal and Aerosmith’s #1 track “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from Armageddon.

Warren has also racked up 5 Golden Globe nominations, an Emmy nomination and win 2016 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Til It Happens To You” from the CNN documentary The Hunting Ground, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2001 in addition to owning her own publishing company, Realsongs.

"Diane Warren's creative impact as a songwriter is unmatched, especially in the way her songs have been used as a medium for making audiences fall in love with film and television," said Ashley Falls, Director of Clio Entertainment.

Throughout her career, Warren has written for artists such as Whitney Houston, Cher, Aretha Franklin, and Mariah Carey, among others, and continues to work with the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Adele, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Janelle Monae, and Zendaya.

Rumors that her special Clio award will be filled with Indica could not be confirmed at presstime.
