SONY/ATV'S NEW PRINCESS
9/9/19

King Princess, the first act Mark Ronson signed to his Columbia-affiliated Zelig Records, has inked a worldwide deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

The Brooklyn native born Mikaela Straus released her latest single, “Ain’t Together,” last week; her “1950” has nearly 300m plays on Spotify. She co-wrote and performed “Pieces Of Us” on Ronson’s recent Late Night Feelings.

“Mikaela is one of the most authentic and creative artists I’ve seen debut in the last decade,” Sony/ATV SVP, A&R, Jennifer Knoepfle said. “She has an uncanny ability to convey her message and purpose through her wildly imaginative songwriting.”

Earlier this year, she finished second in the annual BBC Sound of… poll ranking of new artists for the coming year. Her debut album, Cheap Queen, will be released 10/25.
