Tuff Morgan has been upped to Vice President of A&R at Peermusic today, (8/6). Since joining the company in 2014 after a consultant stint, Morgan has risen from Director of Pop & Urban Music to Senior Director of A&R. In his new role as VP, Morgan will lead Peermusic’s A&R efforts in the Pop and Urban genres for the company’s US offices and will continue to be based in Peer’s Burbank offices while reporting to President Kathy Spanberger.
Morgan has over 15 years of music industry experience that includes work as an artist, producer, songwriter, manager, publisher, and A&R rep. Morgan’s roster of songwriters includes Salaam Remi, James Poyser, Volume Venture’s Larrance Dopson/ TrapMoneyBenny, Sons of Sonix, and The Audibles as well as artists Linda Perry, Madison Ward and Cigarettes After Sex.
“It is very rare to find an executive that has Tuff’s skill set,” said Spanberger. “His background as an artist and songwriter gives him the sensitivity and creativity to work well with the creativity.” Morgan adds, “I’m blessed to work with such an amazing and diverse group of songwriters. Every day I look forward to the opportunity of building something special and innovative with the Peermusic family for the songwriters we work with.”
