GOLAN AND TEAM FEELING ALL RIGHT ABOUT THE WRONG MAN
7/26/19

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and podcaster Ross Golan has released his concept album, The Wrong Man, via Interscope. Originally intended as an acoustic solo piece, Golan’s multifaceted project has evolved into a full-length album, animated film and musical over the over the course of 14 years.

Having written the music and lyrics, Golan brought together Ricky Reed (The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots) for production, Grammy nominee Neal Avron for mixing and Dr Dre’s rhythm section (Mike Elizondo, Trevor Lawrence, Johan Carlsson, and Nate Mercereau) for the album. The Wrong Man follows lead single “Stay Positive,” which was released last week (7/19).

Taking place in Reno, NV, the musical follows the story of Duran, a man accused of a murder he says he didn’t commit, and marks the reunion of Hamilton director Thomas Kail with orchestrator Alex Lacamoire and choreographer Travis Wall. Performances are set to begin on 9/18 at NYC’s MCC Theatre— tickets can be purchased here. In addition to the musical, the animated film premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival and was directed by Golan and John Hwang.

In support of the album, Golan plans to tour across the country with stops in Nashville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco. Check out his Instagram for more details.
