UMPG'S LOGICAL DEAL
5/21/19

Jody Gerson's UMPG has signed multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated artist Logic to an exclusive, worldwide admin deal.

The rapper's catalog spans four albums and seven mixtapes, including the acclaimed, chart-topping album Everybody and four other Top 10 albums: debut Under Pressure (2014), The Incredible True Story (2015), Bobby Tarantino II (2018) and YSIV (2018). As for 2017's smash single—and 2018 Song of the Year Grammy nominee—“1-800-273-8255” is now certified five-times platinum.

Current single "Homicide," which features Eminem, quickly flew to #1 at iTunes following its release. The song is currently Top 15 on Spotify's Top 200 U.S. chart.

“I’m truly excited to begin my new creative partnership with UMPG," shared Logic. "My conversations with Jody Gerson, David Gray and those who I have met thus far have been inspiring and I know they will be a fantastic help to bringing my creative visions to life.”

“Logic is a supremely creative artist and songwriter with a tremendous work ethic," said UMPG EVP and Head of West Coast A&R Gray. "From his earliest days creating mixtapes, he’s grown into a superstar who has conquered writing, rapping, singing, producing and beyond. Logic is at the top of his game and only going up. The UMPG team looks forward to delivering outstanding opportunities in support of his incredible music.”

In fact, Gray's quote was originally issued vocally in the form of a freestyle. Technical difficulties have kept us from embedding the audio, but we hope to have that up and running in no time. For now, use your imagination.
