THE LAND OF MILK & HONEY
3/15/19

The writers affiliated with Lucas Keller’s boutique outfit Milk & Honey have been scoring some serious chart action, including The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds of Summer smash “Who Do You Love” (Oak Felder), now trending Top 15 at Pop radio; Panic! At the Disco’s #1 monster “High Hopes” (Jonas Jeberg); Top 10 hit “Better” (Charlie Handsome) and top-streamed track “Saturday Nights” by Khalid; “Giant” from Calvin Harris/Rag N’ Bone Man (Jamie Hartman), which is about to be #1 in the U.K.; Top 30 missile “Sue Me” by Sabrina Carpenter (Felder/The Orphanage) and plenty more. What’s the secret sauce for so much creative energy and marketplace movement? Scotch, cigars and—of course—Crazy Glue, which Lucas uses to affix his writers to the sofa until they produce more songs. Seen illustrating this principle are (l-r) M&H’s Peter Coquillard, Felder, Keller, and Zaire Koalo and Trevor Brown of The Orphanage.
