Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) is gearing up to host its annual “Accessories for Success” Scholarship Luncheon on 5/5 at the Beverly Wilshire. This year, the fundraiser will honor Mike Daly, producer/songwriter and Executive Director of A&R and Music Publishing at Disney Music Group with the “Excellence in Mentoring Award.”
Founded by Walt Disney and Music Man composer Meredith Willson in 1955, the nonprofit provides children facing adversity with one-to-one mentoring programs that assist them in pursuing their educational and career aspirations. BBBSLA CEO Olivia Diaz-Lapham adds, “We are honored to celebrate Mike Daly for his generosity, commitment, and myriad of contributions to our community.”
As a BBBLSA Board member, Daly helps create opportunities for the 1700+ children the organization serves throughout L.A., while also serving as a mentor for the Techstars Music Accelerator Program. Daly says, “For the past nine years, my life has been enriched by my dear friend and little brother, Jonathan. Receiving this award for our work together is truly humbling.”
