SCOOTER MAPS OUT ATLAS ACQUISITION
2/7/19

Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings has acquired Richard Stumpf’s Atlas Music Publishing, the publishing home of Brandi Carlile with songs recorded by Ed Sheeran, Drake, John Legend and others.

“By working with Richard and his team, we will have a direct line to some of the most creative writers making the publishing process more streamlined and personal,” said Braun, whose SB Projects has the publishing unit, Sheba.

Stumpf founded Atlas in in 2013. It represents songs performed by Demi Lovato, The Band Perry and Madonna, and has a roster that includes ELHAE, Alex Vargas, Coyle Girelli, Major Myjah and Totem.

Atlas will continue to do business out of their established offices in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville.

Stumpf praised Braun, saying “He has the pulse of the music industry like no other. It was clear to me that beyond the business, Scooter was someone who genuinely wants to be part of the greater good. We look forward to many successful years together with Scooter, Allison Kaye and the rest of the SB team.”
