Marty Bandier has been a rainmaker for so long that two of our other rainmakers, UMPG’s Jody Gerson and Bandier's newly tapped successor, Warner/Chappell’s Big Jon Platt, were once his protégés. “I love them; they’re like my kids—and they wanna kill me!,” he says. Bandier will be retiring from the top post at Sony/ATV at the end of March, perfectly closing the circle of a remarkable career.
