Entertainment One, aka eOne, has tapped industry vet Todd C. Roberts as VP, A&R Music Publishing. Roberts’ efforts will focus in the publishing as well as expanding to the recording, branding, and management areas; he'll be based in the company’s L.A. offices and will report to eOne’s Global President of Music, Chris Taylor.
The 20-year veteran previously served as VP of A&R at Virgin Records and Astralwerks, and did a stint at C3 Management working with artists Bassnectar and Griz. Other projects include Nosaj Thing, coordinating collaborations with Kid Cudi, The xx, Chance the Rapper, and Kendrik Lamar, while also producing the Grammy-nominated series Verve Remixed and a forthcoming Beatles covers project.
"Todd has demonstrated an ability to deliver at a very high level throughout his entire career," commented Taylor. "Artists, songwriters and producers that have been privileged to work with him know he’s a select talent who combines business acumen with creative that leads to greatness."
Roberts added: “For a long time, I’ve sought to be part of a company looking toward the future. I think eOne is uniquely positioned to be that company. And given their futuristic perspective, I feel certain I will eventually commute to work by jet pack.”
