MARY NUNEZ LEAVES SONY, JOINS WARNER/CHAPPELL
11/19/18

Warner/Chappell announced today that Mary Nuñez will assume the newly created role of Vice President, Sync-Latin. Nuñez joins from Sony Music, where she spent more than a decade leading music licensing and creative services for the Latin Iberia region.

Nuñez is based in Miami and reports to Gustavo Menendez, President, W/C Music, Latin America. In support of the company's sync efforts in the overall U.S. market, she will also be part of W/C's U.S. Sync team run by Ron Broitman, EVP, Head of Synchronization.

"It's an honor to join Warner/Chappell, a place that many of today's best Latin songwriters and producers—like Eduardo Cabra, Andres Torres, and Mauricio Rengifo—call home," said Nuñez. "The company is rife with talent, and the possibilities are endless. I'm excited to work with a global team of fellow music lovers, and to partner with songwriters to ramp up their presence in advertising campaigns, television series, films, video games and more."

In her previous role as VP of Music Licensing & Creative Services for Sony, Latin Iberia, Nuñez was responsible for managing music licensing and synchronization for Latin placements across the U.S. Latin market. Under her watch, sync became a core emerging revenue source for the label’s international territories in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.

Nuñez is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
