The publisher rankings of the top 100 radio songs during Q3 highlight Sony/ATV's dominance for the fourth straight quarter. The biggest publisher in the world slightly increased its lead at the top spot with a 26.3% marketshare.
Kobalt, UMPG and Warner/Chappell maintained the two, three and four positions, respectively. BMG, while retaining the fifth spot, jumped to 8.65% from 6.54% last quarter.
Pulse, Big Machine Music and Big Deal returned to the top ten.
Of course, many of these pubcos earned much of their marketshare with co-writes the same songs, which makes the pub race slightly more surreal than the one between labels.
