DOWNTOWN, EVERYTHING'S WAITING
FOR YOU
10/12/18

"Welcome to the Downtown Global A&R summit here in lovely Brooklyn," proclaimed pubco head of U.S. A&R Andrew Gould at the start of this jolly confab. "Are there any questions?" One attendee wanted to know when the Dodgers game would be starting, another asked if there would be cronuts and a third asked U.K./International A&R chief Daniel Lloyd who his dialect coach was. Later, everyone went to a local screening of A Star Is Born, partly because Downtown's Anthony Rossomando had co-written smash song "Shallow," but mainly because they needed a good cry.
