How are the considerations surrounding Nashville pub deals changing, if at all, given the current economics of the business?
It’s harder to sign new, developing songwriters who don’t already have relationships established with artists or producers. However, if we get too focused on the numbers and activity, you can miss out on a unique songwriter. That’s why we try to focus on the talent and are then more diligent about our strategy to connect them and make them more visible. Every hit songwriter was at some point a developing writer who just needed a champion to take a chance on them. We pride ourselves on being a part of what’s next, and not just what’s now.
