Seven songs penned by six BMG writers were honored at the BMI Country Awards last night. Most notably, Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y."—co-written by busbee and Nate Cyphert—was recognized with two awards, including the top accolade, Song of the Year.
The other winners were Maren Morris' "'80s Mercedes" (busbee), Morris' "My Church" (busbee), Billy Currington's "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To" (Shy Carter), Dustin Lynch's "Seein Red" (Tully Kennedy), Dierks Bentley's "Somewhere on a Beach" (Alexander Palmer) and Kip Moore's "Running For You" (Kip Moore).
