Ace songwriter Hillary Lindsey celebrates receiving the Nashville Songwriters Association International's Song of the Year award (for the smash "Blue Ain't Your Color," recorded by Capitol Nashville's Keith Urban) by posing with the legendary Kris Kristofferson. It's the BMG tunesmith's third NSAI Song of the Year trophy, a feat achieved by only one other writer in the org's 50-year history—namely Kristofferson. Lindsey previously took the prize for Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and the Little Big Town breakthrough "Girl Crush." Later, Kris told some fun stories about playing marco polo with Sam Peckinpah and Bob Dylan in a regulation pool filed with Jim Beam.

Declared BMG Nashvile boss Kos Weaver, "There is no question Hillary is an amazing creative force and widely-revered as one of the best songwriters in music today. The success and accomplishments throughout her career, and innate musical talent to go beyond genre lines in music, speaks volumes about the dedication she has to the craft. We are proud to call BMG her home.”
