DAMN, THE HOUSE OF PLATT IS HOT
4/19/17

Jon Platt's Warner/Chappell is blazing. The pubco's writer Kendrick Lamar is on his way to a monster bow for his TDE/Interscope set, with huge streams, sales and spins (as you may have observed by reading this website). Meanwhile, Jon is enjoying ongoing multi-format successes from Grammy winner Beyoncé, alt-pop behemoths Twenty One Pilots, singer/songwriter Julia Michaels (whom W/C, with Katie Vinten leading, nurtured for years as an ace tunesmith prior to her breakout as a Republic artist), U.K. innovators Skepta and Stormzy and Nashville's Ashley Gorley (newly hailed by ASCAP for 30 #1 Country hits).

The estimable Mr. Platt has been circling the globe to ensure tighter functioning with his international teams—including recently installed U.K. MD Mike Smith and CFO Paul Kahn—and even stepped in to oversee the pubbery's Production Music operations, on an interim basis, in the wake of Production CEO Randy Wachtler's exit.

He has also gently requested that we not bogart the lobster rolls.
