BMG songwriters were recently honored at the 2017 SESAC Pop Awards in New York. Nathan Followill, Jared Followill and Caleb Followill scored three Performance Awards for “Reverend,” “Waste a Moment” and “WALLS” (off Kings of Leon’s WALLS), while Scott Avett, Seth Avett and Bob Crawford walked away with two Performance Awards for “Ain’t No Man” and “True Sadness” (off The Avett Brothers' True Sadness).
Well, you know what they say, after all; nothing really screams True Sadness like a HITS mention.
Seen blissfully unaware of this photo's fate are SESAC Associate VP of Writer/Publisher Relations Glen Phillips, BMG Director of Creative-International Emi Horikawa, BMG Director of Creative Jeff Geasey, BMG VP of Business & Legal Affairs Kris Muñoz, SESAC SVP of Creative Operations Sam Kling and BMG Co-Head of A&R for Popular Music Andrew Gould.
