According to insiders, Grammy-winning hit songwriter and producer Ryan Tedder has inked a new partnership with Downtown Music Publishing.

Sources say that in addition to bringing a large number of past Tedder hits and future copyrights under Downtown's umbrella, the deal includes a JV to grow Tedder's Patriot Games pubco.

The deal would be a huge coup for both the pubco, which would be acquiring works by one of the very hottest writer/producers in the game, and for Tedder, whose profile and profits should escalate.

In addition to working with Adele, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, U2, Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran, among many others, the Patriot-managed Tedder has also achieved multiple smashes with his own band, OneRepublic.

Whether Tedder will include his poignant song cycle about Ron Laffitte in the deal, we're told, remains to be determined.
