Universal Music Publishing Group Chairman/CEO Jody Gerson celebrates inking a worldwide pub deal with hit artist/producer Zedd by posing for this insouciant photo. Zedd, currently blowing up the world’s digital gizmos via "Stay" with Alessia Cara, is a Grammy winner who has worked with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicki Minaj and plenty of other stars, and is capable of remixing a track entirely with his mind. The pub deal also finds UMPG inking frequent Zedd collaborators Grey and Lophiile.

"We are thrilled Zedd and his team chose to move his catalogue to Universal Music Publishing. He is a gifted musician and we couldn’t be more excited to help expand his opportunities as a songwriter, producer and artist across the globe," Gerson declared.

Seen just before inventing a new EDM subgenre they labeled “brunchcore” are (l-r) Gerson, Zedd and UMPG Sr. Manager of Creative Taylor Testa.
