The DNC is lighting things up in Chicago. Have you checked out the Spotify DNC 2024 Roll Call Playlist? College football starts this weekend, and fall temperatures are right around the corner; these are just a few things to smile about!
Concord’s Team Scrobe claimed top honors on the T40 chart, with Tommy Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” (PULSE/ISO) moving to the #1 spot. It's a fantastic story and a great promotion job, especially for an independent label. Congratulations to the entire team!
Epic’s Sackheim & Dimig give Madison Beer her first T40 Top 10 hit as “Make You Mine” moves up with massive research posting in major markets nationwide. Meghan Trainor’s “Whoops” was back in the Top 10 Most Added, pulling in new airplay from 10 stations, including majors like KZHT and WNKS; it is now heading Top 25.
Republic Corps’ Spangler, Romeo & Dumler have Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” (Island) notching up to the Top 3 and should be the next #1. They also stacked another 37 stations on Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” (Island), bringing the total number of stations to 105+ as the track moves to Top 25; Roan’s track “Good Luck, Babe!” (Island) is Top 5 bound. Erik Bradley of Audacy’s B96 Chicago says, “Chappell is on an absolute heater...hard to find someone more on fire than she is right now. Her Lolla vibes were immaculate, and this is another pop radio monster that should carry her through the 4th quarter!” Meanwhile, both Taylor Swift’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” are Top 15 and climbing. Shawn Mendes’ “Why Why Why” (Island) is one of the Top 10 Most Added tracks, pulling in 13 new stations including KBKS, KMVQ and Y100; the song debuted this week. And Jelly Roll’s “I am Not Okay” (BMG/Stoney Creek) joins the Top 30 with 80+ stations on board.
Warner’s Chester & Reich added another 10 stations to Teddy Swims’ “The Door,” landing in the Top 10 Most Added just as the track joins the Top 20 on the chart. Spin leaders on this one include HITS1, KKRZ, WWWQ and WXSS. Benson Boone’s “Slow It Down” (Night Street) is heading Top 10, while Dasha’s “Austin” (WMN) is now Top 15 and climbing—and we hear there are some good early research stories starting to come in on this one.
Virgin’s Team Halpern has Mark Arbor’s “Belong Together” (Hundred Days) eyeing the Top 20; HITS1, WXKS, Music Choice and WAPE are leading the charge, and 120+ stations are on board.
ICLG’s Marella squad has the #1 Most Added track at T40 this week as they impacted Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” (Interscope) with 107 adds; the track is already Top 30. They also put 18 ads on Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (pgLang/Interscope), which is still ranked as the #2 Most Streamed song across all genres. Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” (Darkroom/Interscope) is heading Top 5 with Power Research. Emimen’s “Houdini” (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) joins the Top 10 on MB while its music video has clocked in 140m+ views on YouTube. Look for mgk & Jelly Roll’s “Lonely Road” (Interscope) to debut this week with 50+ stations coming in early.
Team Dyer has two songs in the Top 10 Most Added this week. First up is Jimin’s “Who” (BIGHIT MUSIC) which is set to the join the Top 30 with 32 adds, including majors WWWQ, KDWB, KBFF and WZPL, and Falling in Reverse x Jelly Roll’s “All My Life” (Epitaph), currently bubbling just under the chart. Pitbull x Ne-Yo x Afrojack’s “2 the Moon” (Mr 305) is spinning on 110+ stations and enters the Top 25 this week. Carol Doche’s “Montego” f/Wiz Khalifa (2101) has pulled in 25 early stations, including KBFF, WDJX and WBZZ.
Columbia’s Gray, Bedard & Stevens also lands in the Top 10 Most Added column this week, putting another 14 adds on The Kid LAROI’s “GIRLS”; they are close to closing out the panel as the track is making Top 20 moves at T40 and Rhythm.
RCA’s Rothschild, Maldonado, JR & Daddio have Kane Brown & Marshmello’s “Miles on It” (RCA Nash) heading Top 15 this week. And Myles Smith’s “Stargazing” is now perched in the Top 25 with major market spin leaders including WBLI, KENZ, WIHT and KZHT.
