AUDACY WELCOMES JR AMMONS

Audacy has tapped JR Ammons as Operations Manager of 98.9 The Rock (KQRC), ALT 96.5 (KRBZ), 106.5 The Wolf (WDAF) and 99.7 The Point (KZPT) in Kansas City, effective 2/1.

He will also serve as Brand Manager of 106.5 The Wolf and 99.7 The Point, overseeing the content strategy, talent, operations and branding for the stations.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome JR back to Audacy to lead our collection of music brands here in Kansas City,” said Roxanne Marati, SVP and Market Manager, Audacy Kansas City. “His extensive background operating multiple stations will position him for success, and we look forward to working alongside him in this next chapter of his career.”

“I couldn't be more excited to be a part of the team [Marati’s] building in Kansas City,” added Ammons.

A 30-year industry vet, Ammons joins Audacy after 11 years as Operations Manager for WZPL, WNTR and WXNT in Indianapolis. He’s also held programming roles at Atlanta stations like Star 94 (WSTR), WAPE in Jacksonville, FL and KMXV in Kansas City.
