CUMULUS MEDIA has appointed Tommy BoDean as Operations Manager of its four radio stations in Melbourne, FL and Program Director for Top 40 station WAOA-FM and Country station WHKR-FM.
The radio broadcasting vet most recently served as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia-Jacksonville, FL, and PD of Cumulus Nashville T40 station WNFN-FM. Prior to joining iHeart, BoDean was PD of WSWD-FM in Cincinnati, OH and the Operations Manager for Clear Channel/iHeartMedia-Cincinnati.
“I am really excited Tommy is joining the Cumulus Melbourne team. He’s going to make an immediate impact – and at a time where programming and operational leadership are critical,” said CUMULUS MEDIA’s Regional VP Pete DeSimone.
BoDean added, “The world we live in is changing every minute and radio has not just an opportunity, but an obligation, to get plugged in and help. Now is the perfect time to step into a role that both challenges and excites me every day. I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the programming team at Cumulus Melbourne as OM for the cluster and PD for WAOA and WHKR.”
As BoDean makes his move from the golf course to the PD chair, Lenny Beer is still looking for his lost sand wedge in a tree.
