iHEART MAKES MOVES IN WINDY CITY

Tommy Austin, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Chicago Region and PD of Top 40 WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM), has joined the chain’s National Programming Group as SVP of Programming, reporting to EVP of Programming Operations Jon Zellner. Austin (left), who was named VP of Programming for the cluster in March 2013, gets to stay in Chi-town, where he’ll be pulling for the Bears in the NFC Playoffs.

Additionally, James Howard (right), VP of Programming for iHeart’s Washington, D.C Region, will succeed Austin as SVP of Programming for the Chicago Region and PD of 103.5 Kiss FM as of 1/16. He’ll report to President of the Chicago Region Matt Scarano, who lauded Howard for his “winning track record…breadth of knowledge, leadership and programming creativity.”

“Our Chicago brands and dedicated teams that operate them are some of the finest in our industry,” Howard enthused. “I’m excited to help them continue to make an indelible impact on our Chicago communities.”
