ENTERCOM IS THE CAT'S PAJAMAS

Entercom has tapped broadcast veteran Cat Thomas as Operations Manager for Y98 (KYKY-FM), 102.5 KEZK (KEZK-FM) and NOW 96.3 (KNOU-FM) in St. Louis, effective the first of the year.

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome Cat Thomas to the Entercom St. Louis team,”said Entercom St. Louis SVP and Market Manager Becky Domyan.“Cat’s expertise with these formats will accelerate us to high levels of performance. His natural talents, combined with his unstoppable passion for radio, will put us on the fast track for significant growth and success. So, what publication did you say this was running in? HITS? Nope, doesn’t ring a bell.”

“I can’t tell you how energized I am to be joining the passionate team at Entercom,” said Thomas. “I’m looking forward to working with [President of Programming] Pat Paxton again, Becky and the entire St. Louis operation, especially Gordie the Panda, Entercom’s beloved mascot.”

[Editor’s Note: That was a joke. Entercom does not have a panda mascot named Gordie. Everyone knows the company is represented by Louise, the Radio Salamander.]

Thomas joins Entercom from Cumulus Media, where he served as VP of Contemporary Formats. His 29 years in the biz has included a VP Programming gig at CBS Radio and PD in Las Vegas. While still in college in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas began his career at Nationwide Communications/WNCI as a Traffic Reporter.
