Top 40 has been blessed recently with music that is calling out after a brief period of fighting to get it to test as powers. It looks like there are titles that are finally breaking through. The only problem now? There’s no room for the great new music dropping in the fourth quarter.

Republic’s Spangler and Russell did a masterful job moving Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (Big Machine) to the top of the chart this week. It looks like they’ll keep that #1 streak going, as Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” (Safehouse/Hollywood/Island) seems to be headed to the top spot next. J. Balvin & Willy Williams f/Beyoncé’s “Mi Gente” (PW/UMLE) looks headed Top 20 with power callout at Z100, KIIS and B96. Post Malone f/21 Savage’s “rockstar” is moving quickly through the Top 30 and is #1 in U.S. consumption, #1 at Shazam in the U.S. and globally. Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso f/Florida Georgia Line & watt’s “Let Me Go” is making the Top 25 move. Lorde f/SZA, Khalid & Post Malone’s “Homemade Dynamite” (Lava Music) is impacting 10/23 and Music Choice, WODS and WXSS are already on board.

Caroline
’s Saturn, Halpern and Holman are rocking the #1 album this week with NF. His single, “Let You Down,” is impacting 10/23. Early adds prior to impact are Z100, KIIS, KALV and WKQI.

RCA
’s Riccitelli, JR, Daddio and Cooper have two big tracks heading Top 10 this week. First up is Kesha’s “Praying” (Kemosabe), which has a closed-out panel and big increases coming in this week from WIHT, WFKS and WBMP. Next is P!nk, who will have the #1 album next week, just as “What About Us” moves up inside the Top 15 with help from KDWB, WRNW, WZPL and WWMX. Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” (Right Hand) was in the Most Added column this week, pulling in airplay from 20+ stations that include Venus, WXKS, Y100 and WZFT. ZAYN f/Sia’s “Dusk Till Dawn” charted and is spinning on 90+ stations. Marshmello X Khalid’s “Silence” impacted scoring over 60 stations to date including an early add from WODS. APD/MD Matt Bosso says, “The 103.3 AMP radio audience loves both of these artists, so it was a no-brainer to support ‘Silence’ early on. Marshmello & Khalid are incredibly talented artists that we’ve been behind from the start, both on-air and at station events. We can’t wait to see what they do next.”

Warner Bros.’ Gray,
Dyer, Reich and Shih continue to build a great story on Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” which moves up inside the Top 20 this week and pulled in close-out adds from WFLZ, WKFS and WWPW. Macklemore f/Kesha’s “Good Old Days” (Bendo) debuted this week at #38 and has scored major market airplay from Z100, KIIS, WKSC and WIHT. Linkin Park’s “One More Light” is now chartbound, scoring airplay from HITS1, KALV, KBFF and WNCI.

Epic
’s Afloarei and Dimig are knocking it out of the park with Camila Cabello f/Young Thug’s “Havana” (SYCO), as the track moves toward the Top 15 pulling in new airplay from 15 new stations and keeping it in the Top 10 Most Added again this week. French Montana f/Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” (Bad Boy) moves Top 10 on MB and has already reached #1 at Rhythm and Urban. Fifth Harmony’s “He Like That” (SYCO) has charted and is spinning on 130+ stations. Yo Gotti & Mike WiLL Made-It f/Nicki Minaj’s “Rake It Up” (CMG) is chartbound with airplay from WEZB, WNOW and WPOW.

Def Jam
’s Sackheim, Rothschild and Farag have the #3 Greatest Gainer this week in Logic f/Alessia Cara & Khalid’s “1-800-273-8255” as it gets set to join the Top 5. Moving to power this week are WIOQ, WWPW and KMXV. Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s “More Than You Know,” which is heading toward the chart, has pulled in over 50 adds, including KROI, WPOI and WQMP.

Hollywood
’s Finck, Smith and Ennis have moved Sabrina Carpenter’s “Why” into the Top 30 and have over 170 stations spinning, including KDIS, HITS1, WRNW and KALV.

Columbia
’s Leipsner, Borris and Vaughan impacted Calvin Harris f/Kehlani & Lil Yachty’s “Faking It” and landed the #2 spot in the Most Added column, pulling in 33 adds, including KHTS, WKSC, WKSS and KPTT. Impacting next week is CNCO & Little Mix’s “Reggaeton Lento” (SYCO).

Capitol
’s Marella, Rainey and Siciliano just put Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” in the Top 15. Halsey’s “Bad at Love” (Astralwerks) is set to join the Top 15 next. Niall Horan’s “Too Much to Ask” was Most Added on impact and is bubbling under set to chart; early supporters include Z100, WKSC, HITS1 and KIIS.

MUSIC WE LOVE:
Bebe Rexha’s “Meant to Be” (Warner Bros.), Quinn XCII’s “Straightjacket” (Columbia).
